1. Meeting Summary
I connected with Shawn to pressure-test whether our planned Germany trip still made sense given my family situation and the possibility that I may not be able to travel. Shawn was clear that my potential absence would not eliminate the value of the trip, but he emphasized the need for us to be aligned in advance on what we want to accomplish and what "moving the ball forward" actually means.
We also aligned that the original April timing no longer looks realistic. Both of us agreed that April is too compressed, particularly with the San Francisco work and the growing demands around AdaptDx. Shawn made the point that the San Francisco effort should likely happen first, and I agreed with that assessment. We then discussed shifting the Germany travel to align with the International Management Meeting in June, and that appeared to be a workable alternative. I confirmed the IMM dates as June 15 through June 19, and Shawn indicated that timing seemed reasonable.
The broader takeaway is that this trip still has value, but it should be repositioned around a more practical timeline. In the meantime, there are still open items I need to sort through, including role clarity for Shawn given the Gauge situation and coordination with Vera on her travel plans and priorities.

- [Scott Warner] Confirm whether I am able to travel to Germany given my family situation.
- [Scott Warner] Reassess the Germany trip timing and shift planning away from April.
- [Scott Warner] Coordinate with Vera to understand her intentions for the Germany trip and whether she still plans to go.
- [Scott Warner] Clarify Shawn's role and expectations in light of the Gauge situation.
- [Scott Warner and Shawn Remick] Align on the specific objectives, deliverables, and definition of success for the Germany trip before travel is finalized.
- [Scott Warner and Shawn Remick] Continue moving interim work forward ahead of any June travel.
4. Relevant Timelines
- April - Original target timing for the Germany trip, but we agreed this is likely too compressed and should not be the working plan.
- Before Germany travel - San Francisco work should likely be completed first.
- June 15-19 - International Management Meeting, identified as the most likely window to combine with Germany travel.
- In the meantime - Shawn and I need to stay aligned on interim work so momentum does not stall.
5. Additional Notes
- Shawn does not see my absence as a blocker to progress, but he does want better upfront alignment so the trip has a clear purpose.
- AdaptDx is taking more time and attention than we originally expected and is driving some of the scheduling pressure.
- Shawn offered to handle the San Francisco trip in April, particularly in light of my family circumstances, and made it clear he does not believe I need to be the one to go.
- I need to resolve several overlapping issues at once, including travel planning, family constraints, AdaptDx priorities, and organizational role clarity.
- Vera's priorities may have shifted as AdaptDx has become more important, so that needs to be confirmed before any final travel decisions are made.
