00:00:00 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Sick at home, so I'm I'm I'm okay with staying away from home for a while. 00:00:04 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Did you get him sick? Uhoh. 00:00:08 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Well, I to be honest, I don't know. He came back from Germany on Sunday, and he was already feeling a bit, so I don't know if he kind of caught something else or if he already had it before and it just broke out. So I don't know. 00:00:20 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Gotcha. Alright. 00:00:23 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] How are you? 00:00:25 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I feel like I got in trouble. 00:00:27 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] What happened? 00:00:29 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Well, she got re I think she's just cranky today. But she got she got real mad at the legal entity project, and she didn't like that I sent that email. And 00:00:44 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Why not? 00:00:45 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Because why are we want she wanted ArentFox shift to do an easy easy first FERPA analysis to give us an idea. And what she doesn't understand is I don't think they legally can do that because if they give bad advice and we move on it you know what I'm saying? Like, that could be bad. So I gotta call Dave and find out what we can do here, and she doesn't wanna pay she goes, I don't wanna pay another 60 to do this whole analysis. And I wanna be like, but freaking CLA didn't do it. Somebody's gotta do 00:01:17 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] it. Mhmm. 00:01:19 - [SCOTT_WARNER] So I I really I don't know. I I was very flustered. And then she asked me to do my goals, and we went over those. And she was just like, clearly not loving them, but she was trying to be not she's like, I mean, they're okay. And I was like, alright. Just I'm gonna share it with you if you don't if you have a second just because I don't think they're that bad. Like, the world's best goals or anything like that. But I just want 00:01:45 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] What did she expect after after informing you about it, like, five minutes before the call? 00:01:50 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Well, I guess she technically did yesterday, but it's not like I had a ton of time since yesterday since I was at the office, you know, first thing. So I didn't put the berm goals in because I didn't wanna take time. But, basically, I added this, like, little what what I thought success looks like. I just thought it was a cool way to kinda say what I was trying to do. I was trying to position my role differently so that I Mhmm. Differently. So she first off, she goes, oh, you changed your core competencies. And I went, yeah. My job's changed, so I thought they should change. But she didn't like that. So, basically, this is basically my work with you. You know, we worked at strength and translating strategy into execution just like we've talked about. I thought there was nothing wrong with that. And then I added, like, some of our KPI tie ins and things like that that I thought made good sense. Yep. Did you read okay. I was like, I don't wanna scroll too fast, but then I did this one. So this is automation. Now maybe that's not I guess the objective isn't necessarily core competency, but, I mean, I don't know. Maybe maybe I just put these from goal. I really don't know. Now she's got me guessing second guessing everything. 00:03:16 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Mhmm. Mhmm. 00:03:38 - [SCOTT_WARNER] So then so this is where she really challenged me probably the most. So read number one and tell me when you read it, and I'll tell you what she said. Mhmm. So she basically said, well, I didn't know that's something we're working on. And I was like, well, like, it's kind of the business case thing that we talk about a lot. It's trying to find ways that we can consolidate, you know, information into a package that allows us to make quick decisions. I said, when something comes to ELT, I don't want it to take us hours to Yep. You know, debate it and stuff. So if we had a, you know, a comprehensive package that could be decided upon, you know, and I said, then that way, you know, like, for strategic stuff, you know, Vera can do it. If it's IT, Shawn knows what his pieces are. I know what the execution pieces are, and she would she finally was like, okay, I guess. But she just clearly didn't love it. 00:04:44 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] What did what did okay. We can talk about that later. 00:04:49 - [SCOTT_WARNER] So this is basically, she said this is the same as the core competency and I can't have it both places, which is fair. I guess when I was doing it, I wasn't I did one Yeah. Came back into the other part later, so I probably shouldn't have done the same kind of thing. But and then the last last one was, again, kinda too close to the other one, I think. So I probably just need to fix my core competencies, really, is what it is. 00:05:17 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. I've I've found them very goal focused already, the competencies, which maybe just rephrase them to, I don't know Yeah. To, like, to to describe more precisely what your skill set should be as as a competency to make those objectives work? Like, I don't know. 00:05:43 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. Let me 2025. 00:05:46 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] But what were her plans? 00:05:48 - [SCOTT_WARNER] She didn't she didn't do it, and she she apologized. She said, I'm sorry. I didn't have time to get to it. Yeah. Like, okay. 00:05:56 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Great. Great leadership. 00:05:59 - [SCOTT_WARNER] It's just yeah. It's alright. Hold on. Close that one. Here's so here's, I guess yeah. I need to redo the core competencies. I I guess I kinda I kinda did bump that up a little bit. Window. This one. This is why I shouldn't try to hurry in the morning. Haven't do these things, I guess. Sorry. Yeah. Strategic prior this is last year. So just which keep in mind, we I didn't have one last year. I just made this recently. So so I did 00:06:40 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] strategic one is still pretty I mean, at least the the name of it is still okay. 00:06:49 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. And then empowering leadership is the same idea. I just did it differently. And then cross functional leadership. You know? Basically, how to lead and things like that. So 00:07:01 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Still kind of the same too, just in different words. Yeah. 00:07:04 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. And then what were my I don't remember my goals. 00:07:08 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Which is sad because it should have some kind of relevance, actually. But yeah. 00:07:17 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. We're as a company, we don't do this well. Don't think so. Anyway, it's okay. She was just cranky and got 00:07:26 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Obviously, she was really cranky. Oh my gosh. 00:07:29 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. She had just got off phone with more Adaptec stuff, so I think that had her kinda going and I 00:07:34 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] don't know. 00:07:35 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I mean, she wasn't she definitely was kinda mean at the beginning, not mean. She was very terse. And then I think she realized it because she then kinda at the end, she's like, well, like, you know, thanks for talking today. And, like, I was like 00:07:49 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. Thanks. It was a pleasure. 00:07:51 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Was that the same call I was just on? 00:07:56 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Oh, hey. Second personality. 00:07:58 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. Yeah. Tell your friend to not come back. It was terrible. 00:08:06 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] I'm sorry. 00:08:08 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. It's all good. It's fine. Like, she it's fair. I just I wish she would learn sometimes to say, that's not what I was looking for and say, I was looking for more of this because then I learned from it. Right? 00:08:21 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yes. But for that, you have to put in the work first and to provide good feedback in my opinion. So 00:08:30 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. Maybe that's why I feel so strongly about over preparing for everything is because I don't like to be in that position where I don't have input, but then I kinda it needs to be a middle ground between what Amity does and what I do. Anyway, that's not what you wanted to talk chat for, so what's up? 00:08:49 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] No. That's fine. That's way more interesting anyway. I actually have two questions for you. One, Minnie sent me Minnie forwarded me this email from from our Canadian fleet provider, and they are asking for input because they updated the Canadian anti money laundry regulations. Mhmm. And they put a link in here where we need to provide a few information, like board of directors, signing authority, blah blah blah. And it can only be done by someone authorized to legally bind our organization. So I would just forward that to you if that's okay. 00:09:33 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yep. That's me. I do that for everybody. So 00:09:36 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Oh, perfect. Deadline is March 13, so next week. What is that? Is that Monday? 00:09:43 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. I don't know. Yeah. 00:09:46 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] March 13. No. That's next Friday. I can't believe it's already Thursday. Like, in my head, it's like I 00:09:53 - [SCOTT_WARNER] thought the same thing today. 00:09:54 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Was Monday. 00:09:55 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I was like, holy crap. Tomorrow's Friday? 00:09:57 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] It's crazy. And I I have so many deadlines tomorrow. I I think it's gonna be a night shift again. 00:10:05 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I probably won't because I am so tired. But anyway. 00:10:11 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Did you get TTS and her feedback already? 00:10:13 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Oh, shit. No. Yeah. Maybe it will be a work night. We'll see. 00:10:19 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] I feel so pressured by, like, providing her the flight details because I feel like I I don't know yet when I wanna fly or not. And I I feel like like I wanna I mean, it's it's on my end. Like, I waited until the day before the deadline ends. But I was like, I might wanna fly one or two days earlier to see my family, and I didn't really checkin if they're actually there or not. And 00:10:42 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Well, I just I find it weird that we have hold on. I'm asking Amity. I asked okay. Go ahead. Sorry. I I just I'm curious because no one's no one has talked about this at all. I find that weird. 00:11:01 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. 00:11:09 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. Well, So the deadline is tomorrow. Is that right? 00:11:39 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Mhmm. 00:11:39 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. She says she hasn't done hers yet, because she's Tessandra's boss. So 00:11:46 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] And Tessandra said that headquarter wants to have it by tomorrow. So Tessandra needs to send it over to them by the end of day tomorrow too, so she should technically have it earlier. She 00:12:06 - [SCOTT_WARNER] said, I think she was going to tell them that some of us need more time. You think or she didn't? Because those aren't the same thing. 00:12:15 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Well, then that's not really solving the issue. 00:12:18 - [SCOTT_WARNER] You think I should not clear enough? I need more detail? Okay. She said maybe just let her know. Whatever. I'm just curious if you did it. So 00:12:37 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Oh, okay. I just forwarded you the email from the fleet thing. Yeah. I'm actually kind of curious about how those information are requested and entered, but I don't wanna hold you up, so just do it whenever you want. But if you happen to do it someday, sometime tomorrow, I I'm I would be happy to peek over your shoulder. 00:12:58 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I'm sorry. I can call you when I do it and you can because 00:13:02 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] I Yeah. I mean, we can do it tomorrow at five if you want to. Like 00:13:06 - [SCOTT_WARNER] No. I I do I call you before five. It's, 0455. 00:13:10 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. True. 00:13:13 - [SCOTT_WARNER] And then I always say, I'll be real quick, and then I keep you for forty five minutes. 00:13:18 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] We just never discuss easy topics. And then Christine reached out to me because she's talking to Matt next week about the collab this year, and there are a ton of open topics from last's collab, and most of them were unfortunately on Paul's plate. I don't know how aware you are of the things he did there if he completed some things, if he was even working on some of them. So I wasn't sure if it would be any because I'm supposed to provide an update from the Festool side, which is great as I didn't even join that meeting. So she forwarded me the summary that they put together with, like, all the open to dos and everything, and I don't know. I just wanted to check if you think you have any clue about some things that Paul worked on or not or if I should just kind of start from scratch. 00:14:21 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Do you have the list in the or is it anywhere? Mhmm. 00:14:25 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] I have it. 00:14:27 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Do you mind sharing? And then I can tell you kinda what I know. 00:14:30 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. Hold on. Let me look at the let me look up the email. 00:14:35 - [SCOTT_WARNER] She knows you're not project manager, though. Right? 00:14:39 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yep. 00:14:50 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Tonight might have to be a bourbon night to get through this freaking day. 00:14:55 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Or Yigi. Yigi is always good. I can highly recommend that. I 00:15:01 - [SCOTT_WARNER] drank it all K. Last year. Okay. 00:15:04 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Okay. So this is the kind of meeting summary and notes thing. You should probably have that because I think they send it out to everybody. I don't know. 00:15:14 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I wish I did. 00:15:17 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] And then there are, like, a lot of things where so everything in red is technically, like, the open to dos. So there is always, like, from a product management side, like, either no active PM, but Paul will organize quarterly meeting or There are some things that are not on Paul on this page, but then, for example, no active PM initially. Might might be needed as we move forward. Paul checking on progress on 1025 and then the target definitions, and this is always like with all the different departments. And then I think on the second day topic, had a few more. So here, product management, Warner for TTS NA. So this one is kind of open on your end. Here, a full PM needed from Paul, operational involvement, and I'm not expecting you to read through all that now, 00:16:31 - [SCOTT_WARNER] but 00:16:32 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] that's just the list we are working off. I have no idea because I didn't even attend the collab, But I just wanted to see if if you would be able to provide any valuable feedback valuable feedback or if you say no idea either 00:16:47 - [SCOTT_WARNER] No. Think we will. I'm just trying to find what's to meeting summary. Let's see if I have that document. I have the PDF version. Oh, wait. Please find all presentations. Let's open that. Is that the PDF, or is that a Word a Word document? 00:17:12 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] That's a Word document. I guess that's where that's where they worked off from. So you might only have a PDF. 00:17:20 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I see it now. It's is this one with comments? Yeah. Okay. 00:17:37 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] I think it is with comments, but it doesn't show any comments. 00:17:41 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I think that she means that with the red, probably. 00:17:44 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Oh, okay. 00:17:48 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I'm opening it now. 00:17:50 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] And we don't have to do it now. I I have a meeting at 0330, but if you think you can provide any feedback, I would be Okay. Very thankful for that. 00:18:02 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. My one on one notes with Paul. We had a loop site where we did our one on ones, and it's still there. So I'll just go through and see if I can find some of these for you, and then I'll just send you a kind of an email that has a what I do know, and if it's nothing, I'll say nothing. If if I think it's something that's done or can be killed, I'll let you know that too. 00:18:22 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Okay. Perfect. Because there are so many like, we have quarterly meeting things, and I haven't heard about a single one of them. So I'm curious if they ever really, like, got set up or not. And I think that's an information that Christine would be and Matt would be interested in as well to kind of see how effective those collab meetings actually are or if we're just having a blast for a few days and then nothing nothing happens afterwards. So 00:18:55 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I think it's good conversation. I don't know that we're ever gonna have truly actionable items. I mean, you have a bunch of different companies getting together to talk, but anyway. Yeah. Let me let me dig through this while you do your next meeting. And then well, Amity just asked me to get she needs an addendum to a severance agreement, so I might have to do that real quick, and then I can get to this. So 00:19:15 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] I don't I don't need it today or tomorrow, but by Monday would be would be great. I I won't have time to think about that today either. Maybe tomorrow, but I I I don't know. So I don't prioritize that if you have other things. But I would just appreciate some feedback because I just can't say much about it. And I'm happy to followup with each individual person, but for the ones where Paul was kind of the only point of contact, it's hard to followup because I could give him a call, but he might not be very pleased about that. 00:19:49 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I'm probably the only person who will know. So, yep, let me dig in, and I'll I'll get you some info. 00:19:55 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Okay. Cool. Thanks. So does that mean that we're doing goals too? 00:20:00 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I don't know. She didn't say. She's she she she said, let me get back to you on these. So 00:20:08 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Ugh. Okay. 00:20:12 - [SCOTT_WARNER] So I'll let you know. Maybe I'm getting yeah. I'm kidding. I 00:20:15 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] don't know. Does she actually rank you? Like like the excellent? 00:20:20 - [SCOTT_WARNER] She's she's not done my last year review yet. I asked her to and but anyway because she made everything. So 00:20:29 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] I find you didn't do mine. I find this we we haven't had a single one since I since I joined. 00:20:37 - [SCOTT_WARNER] No. We did your midyear one. You didn't? I have my notes from it. Yeah. We did. Really? I can even tell you what date because I just looked it up. 00:20:46 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] But I think wasn't that because I requested, like, a midterm review, but we never really went through the Excel sheet? 00:20:52 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I have an Excel sheet for you. You do? Yeah. Did you I don't remember. I'm not asking because I you didn't. I'm asking because I honestly don't remember. Did you do your comments version this year? Do you know what I'm talking about? 00:21:08 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] For Minnie, I did I did that. 00:21:11 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Did did you not have a goal sheet? No. At all? 00:21:16 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] No. I don't think. I mean, it's okay. I mean, my role completely changed, so this would be super useless anyway. 00:21:25 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Right. 00:21:26 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] But this is why I was so surprised. 00:21:30 - [SCOTT_WARNER] This alright. 00:21:32 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] But, again, I I'm I don't I'd I really don't care because I think this is just a waste of time, and I'm I'm being honest with you. 00:21:39 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. We're not 00:21:39 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Like, we we are not being held accountable to any of those goals, and we are investing lots of time in that. And I already felt sorry making Minnie go through it because there is no way we track that. So it's just yeah. 00:21:53 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Awesome. Okay. Yeah. I'll get something with you just because I do wanna talk about goals and everything. So but yeah. I don't wanna spend a ton either or to spend a ton of time looking at last year because as you said, it does not nothing. So 00:22:07 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. At least we now have, like, department goals and everything we can add to it. We we didn't have that last year. So 00:22:15 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Sure. Okay. We'll go to your other meeting, so I 00:22:18 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] will Yep. 00:22:19 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Catch you later.
