00:00:01 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] So I did. What was that? 00:00:15 - [SCOTT_WARNER] It was a truck delivering something outside. 00:00:18 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Oh, okay. It sounded like something crashed on your window or whatever. I did make the first appointment with Brandon, just FYI, next Thursday. Okay. So he reached out and we we organized that. I am almost halfway through through the workshops. Next week is gonna be the easier one, I think, because I think the most complicated one was today. And then next week, it's it's finance and customer service. And Pascal already has his stuff in place. And with marketing, Angela already has most of her things in place, so I only need to kind of send her a summary of things that she already put together and what she needs to come up with until Tuesday. So I I would I have to get that out to her today. And with Robert, he wants to do it remote on his own together with Jordan because they're traveling for the whole two weeks. So I told him to just get me the answers by the February, and I would provide him with a deck of questions and whatever he needs to provide. And I did so Matt kind of pulled me into the call with Sendra from headquarter yesterday. 00:01:43 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. 00:01:43 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] So there was Matt, Clint, and Sendra, and Sendra was kind of explaining what our responsibilities are when it comes to the Rise OKRs. So now we have to come up with OKRs just for the RISE Boost America initiative. 00:02:05 - [SCOTT_WARNER] So you you referenced that earlier. What's that part? Is it 00:02:11 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] So I wasn't aware of the fact that we will need to do that, but so North America is part of the impact action field. Right? 00:02:24 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Mhmm. 00:02:25 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Through the initiative boost North America. And for each initiative, OKRs need to be defined about how we wanna tackle that and how we wanna track our success and all that. And, apparently, Clint had already done some prework based of the of last year's balance scorecard slash goal setting process. 00:03:00 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. 00:03:03 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] So there were things in there, like, I don't know, so many new dealer doors or what else was in there? A few more things. So Sendra just used that meeting to introduce the tool they are using for that, which is amazing. And I I wish we could get that too because it's it's a really, really great tracking tool. And he said it's not super expensive. It's like a 100 per user per year to get the license. So I will he will add Clint and myself to the team, and I I will just use that to click around a little bit and see if that would be feasible for us as well. I don't know if everybody needs to have a license, but maybe just the ELT and the data owner or some, however. But deadline is end of next week, and I was super surprised because the internal deadline they had for headquarter was the January. So I wonder why they come with that now when the deadline is already passed for almost over one and a half month, and they give us exactly one week to complete that. So that was a bit odd. And I don't know. Clint and I, we talked a little bit after Sandra jumped off the call and I I scheduled a meeting with Clint tomorrow morning just to get a bit more insight on what are our expectations from from Rise and that action field because he has been involved in all that and he has set all of that up. So I I just wanna get some more input from him and then he wanted to share I asked him to share a bit more fit a bit more, like, background information on how he handled the balance scorecard in the past and what worked and what didn't work. So we will just take some time to go through that. And then I guess it all depends on how and what OKRs we end up having by the end of next week, which we could help which we can hopefully reuse to just put them into the tracking sheet for for Rise, which isn't too crazy because they only defy them on a six month base, so every half year. 00:05:27 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. 00:05:29 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] So by us defining second quarter OKRs, it now makes it easy because, hopefully, I can just reuse some of those. And then by the end of the second quarter, the first half year for headquarter would be over anyway. So we just need to come up with OKRs for the second half year. But I for that, I I I don't even know what they're looking for. Like, I don't even know what we committed to besides the we boost North America, but I don't know if there are any numbers behind that already or any other more detailed information. So, yeah, I was very thankful that Clint is taking some time tomorrow and just kinda walk walking me through that. Okay. But, yeah, Matt clearly didn't wanna have anything to do with it. So he was just like, yeah. Yeah. That's Vera. She's taking care of that. Bye. And I was like, what are we talking about? 00:06:26 - [SCOTT_WARNER] So what's the it's an external company then? Santo? 00:06:29 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] No. No. Santo is the colleague from from headquarter that is handling that. 00:06:33 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. I thought it was the name of a company or something. 00:06:36 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] No. No. No. No. It's Sendama. 00:06:40 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. I 00:06:42 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] think he is the main strategy person for headquarter. So he was on the list for the people I wanted to meet with in April anyway if we are going or not. I don't know. But I guess we gotta do that a bit earlier now. 00:07:00 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. We're trying to get oh, hey. Jon responded. Wait. What? There are several questions on some of these as to what they are pertaining to. 00:07:21 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Okay. He commented. That's good. 00:07:49 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I guess I'll look at this one minute. Yeah. You'll have to let me know what tool that is because if we can if it's a good tool and we need it, then let's get it. That for the For being 00:08:03 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Honestly, it it looked like a to do planning list that you can do in in one of the to do planner Microsoft solutions with a bit more fancy functions. But as he said, it doesn't he said it's not really expensive. But yeah. It I it's it's I can show you as soon as we have access to it. 00:08:24 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Cool. Okay. 00:08:30 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. That was about it. I mean, I don't know. I'm I'm just trying to jiggle Tanner and the rest of the stuff right now. 00:08:39 - [SCOTT_WARNER] So How's Tanner doing so far? 00:08:42 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] I think he's doing good. I think Steve is giving him giving him a hard time because he's always making those weird cop comments, and I'm just like, it's fun, like, one time, but just give him a chance at least. But I think Steve just doesn't like cops, And I feel like he let him lets him feel that, which I don't think is fair because he doesn't even know him. That really aggravated me this week, but other than that, I think think he's doing good. He's super proactive, and he's already, like, jumping into things. And I'm just like I'm like, oh, that's already gotten taken care of. That's awesome. Tick off my list. 00:09:25 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. 00:09:27 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] And he really, he just, he thinks. So that that's all I want for now. 00:09:34 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. He seem he seems like he's gonna work out well. I think he's got the right thought patterns, right behaviors. Curious to see kinda I think I told you this, but, like, police or cops usually have kind of a personality. And and generally, I don't see it with him, but I think it is there. So, you know, it'll be interesting to see if that comes out often or or, you know, how that works. But I enjoy talking to him. He seems like a nice guy. So 00:10:07 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Well, and I mean, we're not looking for the next HR person. I I want somebody in that role that is able to make our facilities safe. And if he is getting on people's nerves by being a little more pushy or whatever, then this is exactly what I want because I just need him to get the job done. So as long as he doesn't get inappropriate with communicating 00:10:28 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. 00:10:29 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Which I don't feel he would do because he's just too well spoken for that. 00:10:35 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. 00:10:36 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. But 00:10:38 - [SCOTT_WARNER] He's he's been he's worked in the public. He I think he knows kinda what what what. 00:10:43 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] It's just it's just I felt so sorry for him because it's like it's Steve, it's Nathan, it's Chris, and I mean, all of them will be like, his main contact people. And the only thing they seem to limit him down on is that he was a cop, and that's how he treat him. And I'm just like, can can you can you reset for a second? I mean, if you wouldn't have found out that he's a cop, then you you you wouldn't even know. So it's I don't know. There were like a few very weird conversations and Tanner handled it good because he's just really easy with it, I think. But I was just like I was like, oh, this is so cringe. Yeah. 00:11:31 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. I kinda I don't I don't want people treating him like that. That's. 00:11:36 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. So I don't know. Let let's see how that how that goes. Oh, but I did wanna ask you if you are planning on sending out, an official introduction or how, like, the department is kind of restructured now or or if I'm just sending out something saying like, this is Tanner, but he's the new safety guy, Because I mean, there were so many changes in your department. So I was wondering if you would like to send out a similar update like Matt did for like marketing for example. Yeah. And product management and sales. If and that way we could we could use that to introduce Tanner. 00:12:17 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. I think that's a good idea. I think we I can do that. I think everyone should get it, don't you? Like, even where like, pickers, packers, everybody? 00:12:26 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Mhmm. 00:12:26 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. Because I think they need to know who the safety person is. And and if he tells them, like, do or don't do something, you know, they need to know why. So 00:12:35 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. So I I just didn't wanna go ahead and introduce only him because I wasn't sure if you would like to because, I mean, everybody probably knows that logistics now is under you, but maybe you wanted to send out like, this is the new operations set up and just wanted to fill everybody in what the responsibilities are or whatever. And I mean, I don't know that way maybe you do it all at once. 00:13:03 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I'm just taking a note because I think that's a good idea. Okay. No. I think that's good. Let me do that probably tomorrow or something because I need to try to get with Vince tonight and Yeah. Have that figured out. But 00:13:16 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Okay. 00:13:16 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Actually, I have a call with Dave here in a minute, and I'm gonna ask him his opinion on some of this because he's our real attorney. So 00:13:23 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. I was curious about that. Like, why why is there a different attorney involved now? 00:13:30 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. Insurance pays for it. So 00:13:33 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Ah, okay. But have you worked with him before? Nope. Oh, okay. 00:13:40 - [SCOTT_WARNER] So that's kinda why it's a problem for me is, like, he he just doesn't communicate well. And then I asked her, like, hey. Can we chat? And then I don't hear back for, a week. And then I don't know. It's just kinda weird. Like, I can call Dave on his cell phone right now, and he'll answer my call. You know? I'm just used to because, you know, by the time you're ready to work on something or or Vince will try to call me in the middle when I'm I'm in another meeting, and it's like, I don't know. It's just weird. So but he's not a bad guy. He's just different. So 00:14:12 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. Alright. Alright. 00:14:15 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I appreciate the the time to chat. It was good. But 00:14:19 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] No. Thank you. 00:14:20 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I'll kinda let you know if I need I'm gonna try and find time with Norbert real quick. I'm gonna start with him since that's what I've been told to do. Yeah. If that doesn't work, I guess I'm gonna maybe call something with Tamara and Christian Burch at the same time because she's head counsel. Like, if this goes to court, like, it's gonna be a problem, you know. So I just 00:14:42 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] Yeah. 00:14:42 - [SCOTT_WARNER] It needs to move fast. So 00:14:46 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] And maybe do that early because it's Friday and everybody is gonna take off by two. 00:14:52 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I 00:14:56 - [VERA_RODEHUTSCORD] mean, it's a thirty five hour week, so nobody works past three or two, basically.
