00:00:00 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Adaptecs and everything like that. Is is it the same at headquarters? Is it that 00:00:04 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] bad? It to be honest, it it is the same at headquarters, but not just from Adaptec's standpoint, but with all the topics we are handling and dealing or have to deal with right now, we are really running out of time every day. Shawn, hi. 00:00:29 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Hello. How are you? 00:00:30 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Thanks. 00:00:34 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Talking about the weather is giving us both headaches because it goes cold, warm, cold, warm. 00:00:38 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Cold, warm, And it's not the best stuff for my head, but I'm handling this. So in regards of adeptics, the vet was really fast and told you that Catherine will take care of all the IT swim lanes at headquarters IT because there are so many issues to have a focus on and she'll yeah, will structure this so we can have a clear overview of all the swim lines that are out there. And she started right now and she's reaching out for you guys. Maybe Scott with you. Maybe she had already set up a meeting. I'm not quite sure. And she will come to in in contact with you guys to to align this. 00:01:42 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I had sent her a meeting invite and then an an email, and then she did respond this morning and kinda let us know that, you know, she's part time, so her timing Yeah. More difficult. So, yeah, she she did get back to us, so that's good. 00:01:54 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] But but I'm not afraid of this because she she will handle this. She's a very smart guy, so she she will find a way to to get in touch with you. 00:02:04 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Great. 00:02:05 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Just maybe one point to make sure. I I think this is known, but you know in I'll say in in thirty days, we are moving their entire facility to Lebanon from an IT perspective? Mhmm. Okay. I'm just making sure that's understood. 00:02:24 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Mhmm. 00:02:26 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. We're I guess, for lack of a better way of putting it cleanly, we are really leaning on them pretty hard to adhere to data standards because they as you're aware, Shaper hasn't really ever fallen under the IT umbrella of TTS. And there's Shawn and I share a bunch of concerns with them just letting laptops walk away without being cleaned off and things like that. So anything that has a hard drive or or data tied to it, we are insisting and requiring it to come back to Lebanon to be cleaned, and then we'll decide to how to dispose of the machine itself. But we wanna make sure that no Shaper data escapes the company as is. So That's 00:03:11 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] that's that's cool. Mhmm. So That's scary. Do we have do we have any overview of all the equipment that is that is out there? 00:03:22 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Shawn has a Shawn actually went there and had a great overview of it. 00:03:26 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Mhmm. K. Yeah. I've I've been onsite with them, and a lot of I asked you to bring Wolfram in on the conversation. That is to bring their hardware in the loop testing facility here. We, of course, will bring repair here, and then they have a number of data related items, network storage, those things that we will also colocate here until they can be more formally migrated at a later point. Okay. So yep. 00:04:05 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] And if anything will be transferred to Lebanon, This is the point that Schaffer guys can't work anymore, right, on their own? 00:04:18 - [SHAWN_REMICK] No. We will bring up do you mean the employees or the developers? 00:04:26 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] I think about the the employees. 00:04:28 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Now the employees are mostly cloud based. There is no on premise. The developers have an on premise server footprint, and we are working to ensure that there's no downtime with that. So we're bringing a server online here. We'll migrate their work, and then we'll move their equipment, and then we'll so we'll we're working through that with their development team. However, their general employees are almost completely in the cloud at Okay. This 00:04:57 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] So they are independent from any server standpoint? 00:05:01 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Yes. Okay. 00:05:09 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Do we have already access to the to the cloud infrastructure? I think it's a Google Cloud, if I'm right. And 00:05:18 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Some things we do, some things we don't. It just depends. Some things we have access to see, others we don't. There are lots of of tools. They use MDM. They do use Google, they use a lot of their products are proprietarily created in house, and so that's been a little bit of an adventure. And so we do have access to some, not all, we're in that process currently. Okay. And then when your team is ready, we'd like to discuss how that migration looks, whether they would like to to start new accounts or if we could migrate some of the people who were staying's email and documents in. 00:06:04 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Mhmm. 00:06:05 - [SHAWN_REMICK] And then, of course, we'd wanna talk about how long you wanna keep things like Google Cloud alive for historical preservation and download backups and all of that. But that's for future conversation. 00:06:17 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Yeah. Okay. That's fine. Maybe if you are done with this topic, just want to have a small issue with the multi tenant issue. I also support scheduling a joint meeting for a walkthrough of the infrastructure. Maybe at the first step we can leave out Amity and Matt as proposed and do it from a more technical standpoint 00:06:56 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. 00:06:56 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Agree. From my perspective. That's fine. And if that works for you, I would we'll schedule this if if it's fine for you. 00:07:03 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Any concerns, Shawn? I think that makes sense from a technical 00:07:05 - [SHAWN_REMICK] side. No. No. That's great. K. 00:07:09 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] So I'll take care for the meeting. Yes. 00:07:16 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. So I Bercow, I did wanna talk about that a little bit just because writing an email like that is is hard, and I and I I didn't I didn't want to imply that Shawn and I don't wanna be good partners. Quite the opposite. We have very much want to be good partners and and come up with a collaborative plan. I think our our our situation was is let's look at it together before we decide what next steps are so that we don't reinvent the wheel and and create users and things that we don't need to. So Yeah. You know, we'll start this way, and then, you know, we're happy to work with the team as needed and and things like that. But, you know, in a perfect world, you know, it all goes away someday, but, you know, I kinda gave you a list of those things that Shawn and and I collected from people that said, you know, in order to do that, here's what we have to be able to do. So Mhmm. And it's 00:08:04 - [SHAWN_REMICK] I think it's also important to share that there are only six people. This is very small. And if we can get this, you know, brought into the internal system, that's Mhmm. That's much better. 00:08:14 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Okay. That's fine. From our side, I will be part of these meetings in order to make all the headquarter guys open minded enough to listen carefully what you are saying and you're describing in this meeting. I I have to 00:08:38 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Go ahead. 00:08:39 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Sorry. No. Go ahead, please. I think I have to take care for this open mindedness, and therefore, I will be part of this meeting as well. 00:08:49 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. So I know your team really pretty well on a lot of accounts. Do you know who are the main key users that that we need to make sure we have a good understanding with? Like, I know Thomas Vernicole is on security and stuff and then Matthias and Yeah. So who who all, I guess, would you say are the key stakeholders in this decision going forward? 00:09:13 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] From a management standpoint, it is, as you said, Matthias and and Thomas. Okay. And from a more technical standpoint, I would invite Marcel Marcel Crevo 00:09:26 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Okay. 00:09:27 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] To this meeting and Stefan Hooper and Michael Crevo as well. 00:09:32 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. So the only one I don't know, I think, is Marcel. So he must be I know I don't think I've worked with him yet. 00:09:40 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Yeah. But he he's a he's a a very smart guy, and he's really deep into IT security and all the stuff, and he's pretty cool. 00:09:54 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. The other guys I worked with back when we did join US, I just think he maybe he's not here yet or something like that. So 00:10:00 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] No. He hasn't been with Festool when we talked about join US. 00:10:06 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. 00:10:08 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] So he's with us for, I would say, two and a half years maybe. 00:10:13 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. 00:10:13 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] And yeah. 00:10:16 - [SCOTT_WARNER] No. I think that's great. Yeah. Having an initial call and then figuring out, like, what next steps look like and all that would be great because, you know, as we started off the call, things are crazy busy and we're not. Nobody wants more work. So it's like, how can we do it Yeah. The most efficient way. So 00:10:32 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] That's totally fine with me. Cool. Okay. 00:10:38 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I didn't I meant to put together more of an agenda for today, and I didn't think about it. So 00:10:44 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] So I I'm I'm totally happy with the the topics we have already discussed. 00:10:49 - [SCOTT_WARNER] That's Okay. 00:10:50 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] That's most important things. 00:10:53 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Shawn, anything else or point of view that you wanted to cover? 00:11:03 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Not at the moment. We've I I I wanna share a little feedback. Mhmm. We've gotten some very promising feedback, recently that I just wanna say thank you. We heard maybe SAP and Microsoft data lake might be a thing in the near future. That's very exciting, something we've been asking to to employ for several years here. So I wanna just say that that's super exciting from our team, and it's very appreciative. We're very challenged with the data landscape currently. So kudos to that. And Engage also shared the initiative to OneDrive and a few other initiatives, so that were related to March, and we're very appreciative of that as well. It's been that's been good. I think items that I have open on my list would be one, there are other o three sixty five challenges beyond the tenant that we have that we would like to address. We'll leave them out of this first meeting, Burn. I I think this first meeting should be focused on maybe what it would take to get the tenant moved, but there are many other items that I think need to be a conversation that we have a lot of challenges with. And that's where the the original broader conversation started. We wanted to open up some how can we better get what we need? We we don't put anything into single sign on because we have found that to be very difficult to work with, and getting yeses has been a challenge. We've we've got a list of items with copilot that we are wanting to explore, things like recording meetings to have that more broadly available in The US. And so these topics are things I think we should get you a more full list on and the whys behind them, but I wanna just let you know that that that exists. And then the other item was the administrative access at SawStop. I I don't know how you would like to approach that, but I would like to try to I know Matt had worked on that for a bit. I don't know who the stakeholders are, but I would encourage us to schedule a meeting to have that conversation with you and and Scott and and whomever on your team needs to. However, asking IT to continuously do that work is not gonna work for a developer who needs this every few days. We can't issue them a new password every few days. We we have proposals just in time, a, you know, a version of The US two that only lets them on their machine. But I would also share with you, we were going to see this with Shaper, and we have someone in house developing now that we're seeing this with as well. And so we have a developer that's having this challenge. SawStop has developers with this challenge. And in Shapr, we've already been speaking with Ren about how they work currently, and I don't know what what the best practice there will be. So this this pool is, you know, so big, and now it's going to be very large. And I just like to figure out a a better way that we can both be happy about the outcome there. Mhmm. So those are my other items. Yes. Go ahead. 00:14:30 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I I'll I'll summarize those, Berc, in an email to you so that you can kinda think of who you want to bring in that meeting. And then either I can schedule or you can schedule whichever, but I wanna give you a minute to think about who needs to be there because I I think Sean's point is right is is we've only got, like, one IT person in each location. So for them to try and do some of these things is a real challenge for the small crew. So 00:14:54 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Mhmm. Okay. 00:14:56 - [SCOTT_WARNER] That's great. 00:14:58 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Yeah. That would be fine. Yeah. 00:15:01 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Okay. 00:15:02 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] So we have to deal with this and to clear it out and and discuss with with all the guys. To be honest, regards in terms of SawStop, we had some issues with Ronnie some days ago, and not not some a few days ago, but in in the past. And so there is a how can you say it? 00:15:32 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Hesitance maybe? Or 00:15:33 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Yes. Hesitance. That that's that's the word I was looking for. And but we have to to deal this on a on a topic list and to say, hey, what are the the requirements that shall be met and how can we reach our how can we come to this point that we get the confidence into each other? 00:15:58 - [SHAWN_REMICK] I would say let us let us be good partners in getting Ronnie on the bus. We we will we will do that. And in turn, if your folks can meet us in the middle, I think we can find something that works for both. My my previous employer, we had a process for this, and we didn't allow it concerns me that we are allowing their normal user to be an administrator user. We should make them have a separate user that's an administrator user, but we've gotta find some some way to allow them to do what they need. But but meet the security requirement, their general user should never be an administrator on a computer, and we are 100 with you on that commitment. Yeah. And so maybe it's a two step process. Maybe we find a better middle ground for a little while, and then we find a long term solution. But we'll we'll meet you in the middle, and we'll make sure that that Ronnie's on the bus. Yep. Sounds good. I don't know if that translates in German well. On the bus, is that a term? 00:17:02 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] That Yeah. That sounds good. Yes. 00:17:05 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Oh, okay. Close enough at least, Ryan. 00:17:08 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Pardon? 00:17:09 - [SCOTT_WARNER] I said close enough. 00:17:10 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] It's close enough, and it's it's easy. Yeah. Easy to understand. And Matt said that you you guys are planning a trip to headquarters. Is this right? 00:17:23 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Yeah. We're trying to we're trying to come out there in April. I need approval, so I'm gonna I it's actually I was just put that on my list to call Matt Howard today and see because he has to approve it. So I need that approval to find out if we can be there because we really wanna align with the teams out there to make sure you guys are gonna be around. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense to come. So 00:17:41 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Yeah. Okay. So so you you look for your approval, then you will reach out for me to 00:17:48 - [SCOTT_WARNER] After you. 00:17:49 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] To get this streamlined. Okay. 00:17:51 - [SHAWN_REMICK] Okay. 00:17:51 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Thanks, Brent. Appreciate your time, sir. 00:17:53 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Thank you. Appreciate it. 00:17:55 - [SCOTT_WARNER] Take care, guys. 00:17:56 - [BERND_OBERMEYER] Nice day. Bye.
